Smartphones media Update- New Horizons probe is approaching Pluto after 'wandering' in space for nine and a half years. From the closest distance recently, New Horizons very detail send photos of Pluto. Mountains as high as about 11,000 feet recorded on the planet was thought to contain ice.
Photos sent New Horizon it 10 times more detail than Pluto photos anywhere. The photo shows the mountains containing ice on Pluto, released by the US space agency on Wednesday (15/7) then.
Photos released also included new areas of photos that have been named by the scientists by name Tombaugh Regio, named Clyde William Tombaugh, American astronomer who discovered Pluto in 1930.
Scientists are quite surprised to find so little crater on Pluto. Thus allegedly mountains contain more ice than rock that was formed no more than 100 million years ago."This is the surface of the youngest we have ever seen in the Solar System," said Jeff Moore, of the team of Geology, Geophysics, and Imaging at New Horizons.

New Horizons trip already crossed three billion miles away from Earth. She was launched on January 19, 2006. Horizons flew at a speed of 52,000 miles per hour before doing flew over from close range, about 8,000 miles away from the planet, or about the forty-third the distance of Earth to the Moon.

After crossing Pluto up close, New Horizons continues its journey to the edge of the Solar System. New Horizons will go to the Kuiper Belt, a region full of mysterious objects that have never been revealed so far.
